Hey friends—this one is a real-life foster mom update because things have been CRAZY over here. I’m a single millennial in Los Angeles raising my two little boo-boo bears: Buster (15 months) and Dash (4 months). After my Laguna staycation video, life hit back-to-back: I had to travel to be with my best friend (40 weeks pregnant) after her husband—our best friend by marriage—was in a plane crash due to a mechanical malfunction. He’s doing great now (spoiler alert), and I did vlog parts of that trip, including flying solo with two kids, so that content is coming. On top of that, we had our first virus go through the house, I’ve been working my job the whole time, and we had a daycare mix-up—so editing and vlogging have been hard. As for the boys: Buster’s language is exploding (he understands 15–20 words and says about 15), he’s joyful, imaginative, and still a solid sleeper. Dash is growing like a weed, super sweet, and was a great sleeper… until the four-month sleep progression made me look like an actual zombie. Foster care is always changing too—Dash is staying longer than I expected, and Buster’s next court hearing isn’t until summer, so we’re taking it one real, busy week at a time.
