About This Video

In this video I condense my seven years of coding experience into a tier list of the real ways I’ve used (or seen) to turn code into money. The big point is that not all paths are created equal: some have higher upside, but they also come with more risk, more upfront work, and a longer “results curve.” I rank everything from beginner-friendly options like online courses, to more volatile plays like freelancing, all the way to what I consider the holy grail. I talk about creating online courses (I’ve made about $115,000 before tax over the last 3 years) and why platforms like Skillshare and Udemy help because they already have distribution. I also explain why anything with “survey” in it is basically a waste of time, and how building a personal brand (YouTube/blogging) is a long-term grind that can pay off massively if you’re consistent. Then I get into one of my favorite side hustles: selling APIs for recurring revenue (I made over $500 last month from my APIs alone). Finally, I lay out my “God tier” method: building a SaaS product. If you can persist as a problem solver, keep the app simple, ship, add a landing page + payments, market it on places like Reddit/Product Hunt, and iterate, the scale potential is unmatched.
