About This Video

I’ve been a software engineer for seven years, and I’ve tested a ton of laptops, operating systems, peripherals, and “productivity” gadgets. In this video, I walk through the minimal, high-quality, portable setup I’ve finally landed on—the exact hardware and software I use to build revenue-generating apps, ship freelance projects, and edit every video on this channel. The goal is simple: a setup that stays out of my way and lets me work from anywhere, whether that’s a coffee shop or an airplane. The core of everything is my 14-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro (24GB RAM, 512GB storage). I explain why I prefer macOS for getting work done fast, why I think most people would be totally fine with a MacBook Air, and how I handle storage with a 1TB Samsung T7 SSD (especially for archiving finished video projects). I also talk about why I barely use my 27-inch 4K LG monitor anymore, plus the small stuff that matters day-to-day: AirPods Pro for focus, keeping things minimal (no external keyboard/mouse), and the software stack—Cursor and VS Code for coding, DaVinci Resolve for editing, and Apple Notes as my “digital second brain.”
