I’ve been a software engineer for seven years, and I’ve tested a ton of laptops, operating systems, peripherals, and “productivity” gadgets. In this video, I walk through the minimal, high-quality, portable setup I’ve finally landed on—the exact hardware and software I use to build revenue-generating apps, ship freelance projects, and edit every video on this channel. The core of everything is my 14-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro (24GB RAM, 512GB storage). I explain why I prefer macOS for getting work done fast, why I think most people would be totally fine with a MacBook Air, and how I handle storage with a 1TB Samsung T7 SSD (especially for archiving finished video projects).
