The main issue with this app is that its design lacks a professional feel. In this video we'll tweak the visuals, the UI, and the user experience, think about it more in-depth, and by the end of the video, you'll probably have a pretty good idea about how you can do this yourself for your own app. 👨🏽‍💻 The App I Built: https://apps.apple.com/cm/app/bitetracker-ai-calorie-tracker/id6759614783 ⌨️ Check out my Framework on Coding and Selling Apps: https://sellapis.xyz/b/get-started ● ● ● Business Inquiries: worksonmym@gmail.com ● ● ● 20% Off Scrimba (The Best Way To Learn How To Code): https://scrimba.com/?via=AndyTriesCoding Songs: music from: https://freetouse.com/music ’marshmallow’, 'onion' by ‘lukrembo’ TheFatRat - Xenogenesis Watch the official music video: https://tinyurl.com/xenogenesistfr Listen to Xenogenesis: https://thefatrat.ffm.to/xenogenesis Follow TheFatRat: https://ffm.bio/thefatrat

About This Video

In this video I’m redesigning the app I built in my last upload—the one I shipped in 10 days and got to just shy of $1,000 in its first week. The problem was simple: it worked, but the design didn’t feel professional. And if I’m serious about pushing this toward 5-figure MRR, the UI and overall user experience can’t look “beginner.” People judge your app in seconds, and cleaner design builds trust, makes the product feel legit, and usually helps retention and conversions too. Instead of spending forever in Figma or trying to brute-force UI tweaks myself, I used an AI design tool called Sleek Design. I screenshot my existing screens, explained what the app does, gave it my dark green color palette, and let it generate upgraded designs fast. Then I iterated: I generated a dark theme (because a ton of you asked for it in reviews—and I’m a dark theme person anyway), and even added a brand-new page for weight tracking, progress, and progress pics. Finally, I show how I take those designs into my coding workflow using Cursor, including keeping a design reference folder so the agent has the right context while I implement everything.
