Well… I got snowed in on my birthday weekend, so I decided to do my very first livestream and just hang out with you. It starts off a little chaotic (technical difficulties and I’m forced into vertical mode), but we get settled in pretty quickly—Scooter even insists on joining me in my lap like the little baby he is. We chat about the ice situation in Texas (aka: everything shuts down because we’re not built for this), how I’m prepping to keep my plants safe if the power goes out, and why I’m low-key anxious staring at my “100 something plants” like, please don’t make me blanket-wrap everybody. I also give some real-life updates: my birthday was yesterday, I’m still recovering from my second eye surgery (so I’m reading chat off my computer), and I’m trying to plan shipping holds for plant orders when temps are too low. Plus, I share what’s coming on the channel—my 2026 full houseplant tour (currently… very long), and a bunch of more educational videos I’m excited about like air layering, dealing with rust, beheading propagation for a succulent, and root prune + repot content. I also talk through why I’m switching up my usual wishlist video this year, because honestly, those wishlist plants get in my head and I end up buying too many.
