Aloha you guys—today’s video is basically a hangout and a real-life check-in. I’ve been super inconsistent with uploads since around November, and I wanted to actually explain what’s been going on instead of just hinting at it. I share a trigger warning up front because I do talk about mental health, burnout, overwhelm, and how I realized I’ve been pushing stuff down for way too long. The big “straw that broke the camel’s back” moment this week was a work situation where I got abruptly demoted (with zero explanation), and it sent me into a full breakdown—like, the kind where your face hurts the next day from crying. But because my week was so crappy, I also noticed the good things louder—especially my plants. While I’m chatting, I show spring plant updates (mostly anthuriums, because of course the anthurium gang shows up the second I trash talk them). I share wins from rehab plants finally turning a corner—like my Pink Lemonade (in LECA) giving me a new “perfect” leaf, plus my Lux cross pushing a much bigger leaf than I’ve ever gotten before. It’s part vent, part plant therapy, and part reminder not to ignore the signs when something feels off.
