LINKS TO OTHER VIDEOS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO: Planty Holiday Vlog Part 1 | Houseplant Shopping, Holiday Treats, and More!: https://youtu.be/oelEju7VPKY MY FAVE PRODUCTS: *Amazon Storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/alohaplantlife *MUSIC FROM EPIDEMIC SOUND: https://share.epidemicsound.com/1vow7o VEGAN BISCUIT RECIPE: 2 cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons vegan butter 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening 1 cup chilled soy milk or other milk alternative - Preheat oven to 450 degrees F - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt - Using your fingertips, rub vegan butter and vegetable shortening into the dry ingredients until the mixture looks like crumbs/sandy (the faster the better, you don't want the fats to melt) - Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the chilled soy milk - Stir just until the dough comes together (the dough will be sticky) - Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, dust the top of the dough with flour and gently fold the dough over on itself 5 to 6 times - Press the dough into a 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick circle depending on desired biscuit thickness (biscuits will typically double in height once cooked) - Cut out biscuits with a 2-3/4 inch to 3 inch cutter, being sure to push straight down through the dough - Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil so that they just touch each other - Reform scrap dough, working it as little as possible, and continue cutting out biscuits - Using your fingers, make a small indent in the center of each biscuit to promote even rising while baking - Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until biscuits are tall and light gold on top - Enjoy warm with butter and/or jam TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 Intro 0:53 Christmas day 1:05 Checking/prepping my mom's Marble Queen Pothos to add cuttings to it 3:42 Buckeyes finished product tasting 3:54 Opening Christmas presents 4:39 Adding Marble Queen Pothos cuttings to my mom's plant 16:37 Making vegan cornbread for Christmas dinner 24:07 Day after Christmas 24:08 Making vegan biscuits for breakfast 25:59 Heading back to Dallas 27:03 Checking on my plants and Toby _ "Aloha Plant Life" is a channel produced by me, Drea Williams, featuring all things plants.
