Aloha, you guys—so I don’t usually do back-to-back haul/unboxing videos, but I had to make an exception because… somebody needs to stop me from buying plants from Texas Plant Connection. In this video I unbox four Hoyas, including a replacement Hoya polyura ‘Jasminka’ after my last one basically decided to un-alive itself within a few days. I walk through what arrived, what each plant looks like out of the box, and what I’m watching for right away—like moisture level, visible roots, and any yellowing at the base of the leaves. I also share where I’m placing everything to rehab (my west-facing kitchen window about a foot back) and why I’m changing it up for the Jasminka this time by putting it under my Soltech Grove bar grow light for gentle, consistent light. We talk pricing too—like my Croniana ‘black silver’ for $35, a tiny Suzie Q for $17 (yes, I now have three… don’t judge me), and a super splashy Thailand no-ID.
