About This Video

In this Korea vlog, I finally did the thing I’ve been low-key thinking about every trip: eyebrow microblading. I was genuinely scared walking in, but I picked this studio because their Instagram portfolio looked super natural (aka more “me” and less super-defined makeup brow). The whole appointment was shockingly fast—about an hour including consultation—and we mostly communicated through very limited Korean/English, but it worked. The artist explained strokes vs. microshading, and while she usually recommends a combo, I chose just microblading because I don’t wear much makeup and I wanted it to match my everyday face. I couldn’t film the actual procedure, so I documented the healing instead: day-by-day updates through the first week, plus a one-month and six-month check-in. I talk about the dark “who is this” brow phase, the itchiness, not washing my face the first day, aftercare cream, and the scabbing/peeling around days 4–5. By one week, everything looked way more natural, and by one month I was really happy with the shape—especially the tail I didn’t really have before. Six months later, they’ve faded a lot, but I still love them… and I haven’t touched an eyebrow pencil in ages.
