About This Video

I went camping for the first time ever—and of course I did it with my “professional camping friends” who (literally) kept us alive for three days and two nights in Tahoe City. We set up at William Kent Campground (Campsite #9), did the whole unloading chaos, and eventually got to a point where our “home sweet home” was… setup complete. Kind of. I’m not going to lie: I was mostly vlogging while everyone else was doing very real tasks like cutting firewood, reorganizing, and dishwashing. At least I’m honest. This July 4th weekend was all about slow, healing nature time: hammock moments, a tiny-from-far-away fireworks attempt (I slept through half of them), and a lot of food. We did Korean BBQ (my one regret: the dish situation), breakfast with bacon/potatoes/eggs, and then hot pot ramen for dinner with corn, bok choy, and a truly impressive amount of cabbage. We tried to scout a river plan, but traffic was wild, so we kept it simple and walked to the lake across the street. My biggest newbie takeaway: campground bathrooms matter more than you think (running water and soap = huge win), and nothing hits like finally getting home to shower after your first camping trip.
