I don’t usually do airplane vlogs because, honestly, I sleep through most flights… but this time I was doing two back-to-back red eyes from Honolulu to Reykjavik, so it felt like a full-on 24-hour journey. Since getting anywhere from Hawaii takes forever, I planned a Seattle layover on purpose so I could actually enjoy the “slay over” time and catch up with my friend Tiffany. I also talk about the very real struggle of traveling from a hot place to a really, really cold place—aka me sweating in flannel now, while also trying not to freeze my butt off later. In the middle of all that, I share my chaotic Global Entry fail (my Global Entry expired literally two weeks ago on my birthday… yay me), plus what I learned so you don’t repeat it. And because a long-haul flight is basically a sleep mission for me, I give an updated review on the Cabeau travel pillow (turns out I installed it wrong the first time), plus my in-flight essentials like a blackout eye mask, compression socks, and my weird in-flight tomato juice habit. I also share a tiny comfort hack: using the airline pillow as a butt cushion makes sitting-sleeping way more tolerable.
