yeah so hello my friends—i’m back in the US, and in this video i’m rounding up everything skincare + beauty i bought during my 4-month trip through east asia. i originally thought i’d do a korea-only haul, but once i put everything together it was kind of sad (lol), so we’re going country by country: taiwan, japan, and korea. a lot of these were honestly “replenishment” buys because i was trying to restrict myself and not carry a million things for the rest of the trip. in taiwan i kept it super practical: i grabbed dr. wu basics from watsons (because a 2+1 deal is dangerous), including a gentle foam cleanser for sensitive skin, a mandelic acid serum as my breakout backup, and a gel makeup remover because i do not like messy oil cleansers. i also talk about my absolute must-have for surviving mosquito bites (i hit pan… that’s how bad it was). then japan is where i finally tried my long-time wishlist items like hada labo premium (now a fave in humidity), melano cc (effective but a tiny bit oily), and my ride-or-die travel comforts like steam eye masks and foot pads. korea is tinted lip balm heaven for my chappy lips, plus my holy grail acropass needle patch that actually helps with under-the-skin pimples, and a tocobo sun stick i’m excited to use for shine control.
