Hi everyone and welcome back to the channel! In this video I’m unboxing and swatching three gorgeous sets of handmade watercolours from Rebecca at The Art Spirits—two that Steve and I got for Christmas (we were influenced after watching Rebecca use them to accent a Johanna Basford page), plus a super kind surprise gift set that Rebecca included in the parcel. I also show you all the little extras in the packaging—confetti bits I’m definitely keeping for embellishments, a tiny bottle of “fairy dust” gold shards, stickers, a tea bag (yes, I’m having that later!), and the care instructions for getting the best out of the different finishes. I swatch my Ocean set first (because if you can’t tell, blue is my favourite), then Steve’s metallic set (with that absolutely blinding True Silver), and finally the Fragments set—those clear, glittery, shifty toppers that look amazing layered over other colours or mixed into regular watercolours. I’m a bit of a perfectionist with swatching, so I chat through consistency (thick and creamy is the dream), activating the pans with water, and how some shades look even more magical on black cardstock. I finish by swatching White Rabbit (Steve’s pick) and the Stardust freebie—because Rebecca is just the loveliest.
