Hi guys and welcome back to the channel. In this video I’m sharing Part 1 of some absolutely amazing happy mail I was very fortunate to receive in July (and I’m only just getting it uploaded because I’ve been ill on and off). It’s also a voiceover because past-Zoe managed to film FOUR videos with no audio… so yeah, we’re doing our best. I show you a mix of pens, paint pens, glitter gel pens and some gorgeous books, and I chat through what I’m excited to use them for, how I’ll fit them into my journaling, and what I think will work well for different seasons and themes. I start with the Ohuhu Kumimi journal pens (gifted by an anonymous friend) which I’ve already been using in my journal to keep a little visual record of what I’m colouring. Then I share a super lovely package from Jana (@colorandcreatewithjana), including the Disney Heroes & Villains mystery colour-by-number book (which was literally top of my Amazon France list) and Tooli dual tip pens that I’ve been using in Johanna Basford’s Small Victories. After that it’s more anonymous happy mail: Posca pastel paint pens, Gelly Roll Stardust (so I don’t have to nick Steve’s anymore), Staedtler 120 dual-ended fibre tips, Disney Classics mystery colouring, and two Mythographics (Crystal Kingdom and Labyrinth). I finish with flip-throughs of Tropical Wonderland and Woodland Wonderland by Rachel Reinert—these are perfect for gouache, and I’m properly excited to get back into painting (especially after seeing Emily Illustrator working in them).
