Hi everyone! In this video I’m doing a chatty triple flip through of the three current books in the Cutie Colouring Series published by Scholastic—each one illustrated by a different artist. I share Capybara Cuties (Rob Parkinson), Forest Cuties (Jake McDonald), and Cafe Cuties (Suzanne Washington), and I talk you through what the books are like inside, the mix of themes, and which pages I’m most excited to colour. I also mention the next three books coming in the series (Spooky Cuties, Christmas Capybara Cuties, and Love Cuties), so you can keep an eye on release dates if they’re not available in your country yet. You’ll see why Capybara Cuties is my personal favourite so far—honestly it’s cuteness overload, and the paper is beautiful for blending with alcohol markers. I show you the page I completed using my Ohuhu Honolulu markers (and a mix of other Ohuhus), and I share little ideas like taking it on holiday for those beachy, postcard-style pages. With Forest Cuties, I chat about how it mixes scenes with wallpaper-style pages (the scenes are more my preference), and I even talk about testing watercolour. Finally, Cafe Cuties is busier and super food-focused—perfect if you love bright fun colours or pastel tones—and yes, pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza!
