In this chatty flip through, I’m sharing my first impressions of The Frogs and Flowers Colouring Book by StormseyeDesign (Emma E. Peters). I spotted this one over on Wendy’s Colouring and kept finding myself going back thinking, “Yep… I love that,” so I bought it with my own money and all opinions are completely my own. The book is A4, single-sided, and honestly feels like proper quality—lovely glossy cover and super thick, toothy cardstock that makes me want to play with all the mediums. I take you through the pages and point out what I love: the framed borders (with different vines and details), the clear linework, and the cosy woodland vibe—mushrooms, acorns, lily pads, sunflowers, moons, pumpkins, and even Christmas snippets. There are loads of adorable frogs (yes, we’re naming one) and the designs feel perfect for seasonal colouring—April showers, spring/summer florals, and autumnal toadstools. My big takeaway is that this paper has me itching to test watercolor, gouache, alcohol markers, and pencils, and I’m genuinely excited to see more books from Emma (especially the mandala one she’s working on).
