Tonight was a bit of a surprise stream because Steve wasn’t feeling great, so I stepped in so we didn’t have to cancel again. I chatted through what was going on (he’d reacted to his pain patches in the heat, then felt rough after having them off overnight) and we just had a cosy, friendly catch-up while I got on with some WIPs. I also reminded everyone about the new summer schedule starting 1st July, and we had a proper little natter about weekends, colouring plans, and keeping hydrated—especially if you’re on anti-depressants in hot weather. For the colouring, I worked on my WIP with Yolanda (Colouring by Kamama) in Millie Marotta’s Animal Adventures, focusing on the fishing cat page. I finished off some of the rocks using a Prismacolor combo (stones, chocolate, light umber, beige, sienna, seashell, pink), and then started tackling the leaves with greens (dark green, grass green, apple green). I talked through how I approach Millie pages (you don’t have to colour every single pattern line—sometimes I just ignore them), shared my reference photos for the fishing cat, and generally kept it relaxed and real—awkward book angles, missed bits (yes, I missed an ear), and all.
