I jumped on for a totally spontaneous livestream and spent a few cosy hours doing what I really needed to do—working on my WIPs and getting some pages over the finish line. I started with my buddy colour with Yolanda (Colouring by K Mama) and focused on the bit I always dread: water. I’d already mapped my colours in, so on stream I layered everything up, blended it out, and aimed for that natural “muddy, murky pond” look rather than bright, pretty water. I also finished the ear, filled the little background gaps behind the plant, and decided to keep the fish subtle so they blend in instead of shouting for attention. Along the way we had a proper chatty stream (food talk included), I showed my glowy microphone setup, and I talked a bit about how I’m dealing with stress/IBS and why I still wanted to stream even though my tummy wasn’t impressed. I also mentioned my channel memberships (the Meadow clan) and what’s included, because I want it to feel like a genuine little give-back space—without anyone feeling pressured. By the end, I finished the page (no background—couldn’t be bothered with pan pastels today!) and added sparkle using Jelly Roll Stardust for the bubbles and a black Jelly Roll Glaze for the fish eyes. Then I moved on to the next WIP plans, ready to keep chipping away at the pile.
