In this episode of my Rank and Rate series (created by Jess at Colouring Bumblebee), I’m diving into my Lulu Mayo collection and ranking my books from “not for me right now” all the way to my absolute favourite. I’ve got a quick disclaimer in there too: just because something is lower down doesn’t mean I hate it—it’s purely what I’d reach for first at the time of filming, and my mood definitely changes. I also talk a bit about letting go of “full set syndrome,” because if I’m not going to colour a book, I don’t need to keep it just to have the whole collection. I flip through each book, show any pages I’ve already coloured, and then pick out my favourite pages (usually five… although I’m clearly cheeky in places). You’ll hear me ramble about why certain pages stand out—black backgrounds because they make colours pop, my love of animals and florals, and how some themes feel “spooky season” or “spring vibes” to me. My top picks include Kawaii Tarot, Lulu’s House of Wonder (which I’m using as a monthly buddy-colour project), and my number one: A Million Baby Animals—because honestly, it’s paradise on a page for me.
