Tonight’s livestream was a proper “viewers choice” session because I genuinely couldn’t decide what I fancied colouring. I put four options to you in a poll (Moon Valley WIP, Petite Princess colour-by-number, 50 Zodiac Themed Miniatures, or 50 Mythical Miniatures), and you lot voted me straight back into my Moon Valley work-in-progress. The goal was simple: get this cute bunny page wrapped up so I can move on from spring and head into summer pages next month. Once the poll was done, I pulled out my Derwent Chromaflow pencils and talked through my colour thinking (and yes, my usual overthinking). I wanted that bunny to feel like a peachy-beige/eggshell sort of tone, with soft pink in the ears and a tiny pink nose. We also chatted about how slow I am at colouring, how I like to colour smoothly rather than doing fur texture, and how I need my book at an angle to be comfy. We finished off with some bumblebee decisions (cute over realism, always), a bit of experimenting with sparkle/watercolour-style effects on the wings, and lots of cosy chat about what everyone’s working on, colouring confidence, and why I never want anyone comparing their pages to others. The whole vibe was friendly, supportive, and very “let’s just enjoy the process.”
