In this video I sit down (on the 2nd of January… yes, I’m a bit more unorganised this month because Christmas happened!) and share my January colouring plans, including the hashtags I’m aiming for. Instead of my usual TBC Bingo, I wanted to switch things up, so I let a randomiser wheel choose my books for the month. I also talk you through how I’ve been purging my collection—basically asking myself, “If the randomiser picked this, would I actually want to colour it, or would I veto it?”—because I’m trying to be more realistic and also get my whips down. We end up with a really cosy, wintry mix: Jade Summer Kawaii Town (I’m finally finishing a whip from a year ago), Disney winter colour-by-number options, and a few cute comfy cosy picks that tie into January prompts like snow/ice, winterwear, winter activities and blankets. I also swap out a Christmas-only book for something more January-friendly (Cuddly Winter), and I pull in community prompts from Jess (Colouring Bumblebee) and Jolanda (Colouring Biker Mama) so I can join in properly. On top of the random picks, I also share my ongoing project books—like Year of Witches with Jess (and because it’s my birthday month, I’m choosing the birthday page!)—plus a few longer-term whips I want to keep chipping away at through January and February.
