In this video I’m doing a natural hair tools haul and unboxing the brushes and tools I purchased to help me take care of my 4C natural hair. My hair was freshly washed, dried, braided, and then I undid the braids because I’m planning to do cornrows—so I’m showing you what I’m actually using in real life. I walk you through each tool, what it’s for, and why I chose it, and I’ll also leave the links so you can grab the same items for yourself. I start with a rake comb that’s perfect for combing natural hair because it goes through the strands without breaking the hair. Then I unbox a real mulberry silk cap (with an elastic band) and talk about why you need a satin/silk cap to help your hair not dry out and lose moisture. And yes—I tried it on so you can see how it fits on a fro. Finally, I unbox the superbrush/unbrush that I’ve been seeing everywhere in the natural hair community. I only brush my hair when it’s wet, but I explain what it’s supposed to do (including detangling and even blow-drying support), and I ask you which tool you want me to test first.
