Good morning from Seoul—this vlog starts super simple: I’m walking out around 11:15am to get my favorite Korean BBQ buffet near my house (it’s only 65R per person, and you get unlimited pork and so much food). The best part? It actually starts snowing. It wasn’t a heavy snow, more like a light “first snow of 2023” moment that came and went in about 10–20 minutes, but I was honestly so happy because I love this kind of weather for long walks. After lunch, I walk about an hour to Myeongdong and do a few errands—first stop is Olive Young because I needed to exchange a cracked makeup item (and yes, it’s always crowded and has a second floor). Then I finally head to the famous 12-storey Daiso in Myeongdong. I go floor by floor (Christmas stuff, beauty, stationery, characters, food, home items, and even sports/camping/travel on level 12), and I get completely stuck at the Disney section because Disney is literally my weakness—especially Beauty and the Beast. I end the day squeezing in the Nanta show (non-verbal, super funny, more like 1.5 hours), attempt to go to a Michelin dumpling/noodle spot but it’s way too packed, and then walk home in freezing wind (0°C). I do a mini Daiso haul at home—mostly thoughtful little gifts for my family—because I tried to be good and not buy unnecessary things for myself.
