About This Video

Good afternoon guys — I started this day at 12:15pm, freezing in Seoul (it was like -2°C when I woke up), and I headed to Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market for lunch. The fun part about Noryangjin is you pick your seafood on the first level, then you go upstairs and the aunty (auma) will cook everything for you. I was honestly overwhelmed because every stall sells similar things (oysters, scallops, king crabs, prawns, fish), but I ended up getting a 3.5kg king crab, scallops, and even a live octopus — and the auma also gave us some free seafood. Upstairs, we ate everything super fresh, and yes, I tried the live octopus. I thought it would be disgusting, but it was actually quite nice (just a bit sticky and scary at first). The crab was huge, and while the meat wasn’t as “plump” as I expected for such a big crab, it was still sweet, juicy, and you can really taste how fresh it is. They even made fried rice from the crab shell, which was honestly so good. After that, I took a bus to The Hyundai Seoul to chill, queued for Anang tarts (chocolate, pistachio, egg tart), and tried a drink from Super Matcha — even when I asked for less sugar, it was still pretty sweet. It was a long day, but Noryangjin was such a great experience, especially because I made new friends and we shared the massive portion together.
