About This Video

If you’re in the market for a new 75% keyboard, this video is basically your sign. I’m checking out the Neo 75 Cu—Neo’s new “premium” line—and yeah, the “Cu” is copper like the periodic table. The big deal here is how they’re implementing copper (and brass options) throughout the board: the weight, the bottom case, and that new badge up top. I went with an anodized grey-gold build and chose brass for the weight because the colorway is just too clean, but the copper version looks insane too. I break down the layout and specs: the all-white PCB (I’m on tri-mode, but you can go wired or solder), magnetic daughterboard connector, support for 7u and 6.25u spacebars, stepped caps, no RGB, and no flex cuts. Inside, Neo’s catch ball system makes access easy, and you get two mounting styles—bottom mount or gasket sleeve mount. The gaskets were new to me at first, but they just install onto the plate and pop right in. Build time was like 30 minutes to an hour including lubing the included Neo stabs. Sound-wise, I let the acoustics speak, and the board comes off super stable and pleasing. I compared it directly to the QK75 and QK75 V2, and for me this outclasses both—even without the screen. With my PP plate (my favorite plastic plate material), the Neo 75 Cu lands firmly mid-range but competes with boards way pricier in presentation and desk appeal. I’m not sponsored—I just don’t think you’d regret it unless you’re trying to save every dollar.
