About This Video

TKLs are one of the most popular layouts for a reason: you get a smaller footprint without giving up the keys that actually matter. In this video I’m reviewing the Zoom TKL DYNA from Meletrix—an 80% VIA-supported board with that classic robot-hero (Ultraman-style) inspiration, sharp angles, and a ton of lighting personality. I walk through the unboxing, what’s included, and how I built mine (aluminum plate, cork foam), plus why this board feels like the “bigger brother” to the Zoom75-style boards I usually gravitate toward. I also break down the features that make the DYNA feel premium: tri-mode (wired/Bluetooth/2.4GHz), per-key RGB, the diamond accent lighting, and the underglow “four-dimensional light domain” windows that honestly look sick on-desk. The LCD screen + rotary knob combo is clean, and you can even upload your own gifs/pictures through the app. For gaming, I cover the 8K polling rate and that 0.6ms latency (wired only—because if you’re chasing low latency, you should be plugged in anyway). Finally, I do a sound test with Wuque Studio Red Arowana linears and KBDfans Spark Light caps, then give my real-world take: this is a near-perfect TKL value around $185–$195, with a couple quirks like tilt near the spacebar and ribbon/JST cable hassle. Overall, it edged out boards like the QK80 and Keychron Q3 for me on features, latency performance, and aesthetics.
