These just might be the funnest keyboards I saw at CES 2025—straight up spaceship-inspired builds with magnetic fidget spinners, plus some FPS-style mods that look like they belong in a loadout screen. I was back on the show floor grabbing new keyboard coverage, and I stopped by Gateron on day one to check out what they’ve got coming next. Hall effect is still a big deal, and I got to type on boards using their newest magnetic switch, the Jade Pro. Specs-wise, you’re looking at 36g initial force, about 3.5mm total travel, and pre-travel that’s basically whatever you set in the PCB driver software. I also caught a preview of their upcoming RGB switches with all-clear bodies, and they looked solid. After that, I linked up with the CEO of KeysMe, and I’ve gotta say—these are some of the most innovative keyboard designs I’ve seen in a long time. The KeysMe MARS 03 is a CNC metal “spaceship” board with 2.4G wireless, 1000Hz polling, a 4000mAh battery, multiple acoustic foil layers for a more premium sound, and an LCD screen for images/time/volume. And yeah, it’s got signature dual turbine rocket ship fidget spinners that magnetically snap onto the sides. Then there’s the PIC60 aluminum case mod for the Wooting 60HE (also works with the Gateron GT60 PCB), complete with an assault-rifle-style attachment rail for accessories—plus camo keycaps in jungle green, desert storm brown, and midnight gray. If you’re into gaming setups that go beyond “normal,” these are absolutely worth a look.
