Keychron just won big at CES 2025, so I pulled up to their booth at the Venetian showroom hall to get hands-on with what they’re cooking for 2025—starting with their CES Innovation Award-winning keyboard (and yeah, it was the only keyboard to take that honor). Right away I spotted some wild stuff: a slick board with real wood in the design, plus a clean little 65% Hall Effect board that looked like a prototype with ceramic keycaps. That one was kinda under wraps, but it definitely caught my eye. The star on Keychron’s side was the Keychron K2 HE. It’s my first time actually typing on it, and in person it looks really good—especially the special edition with rosewood accents. Hall Effect is bigger than ever, and with the Keychron Launcher app you can tweak rapid trigger, actuation points, and even use analog mode like a controller. Then I hopped over to Lemokey’s gaming lineup, where the P1 HE is easily my favorite: exploded 75%, knob, aluminum case, shine-through PBT, and that magnetic PCB with Gateron double-rail magnetic switches for smoother, more stable keystrokes. I also checked out their 8K-focused gear (including mice), and even tried some low-profile rubber dome boards that—surprisingly—didn’t feel horrible.
