Contact me via email ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Mental health is a crucial topic that should be normalized—not just when something goes wrong, but proactively, like a regular dental check-up. Unfortunately, our society (and especially men) often fail to seek help or simply talk about what's going on in their heads. In this vlog (recorded while running my motorcycle to charge the battery—please excuse the engine noise!), I explain how this daily video journal ("Zog") has become a vital tool for my own mental health. There is a huge difference between simply thinking about a problem and trying to verbalize it. When you force yourself to organize complex thoughts into cohesive sentences and speak them out loud, you gain clarity. A good therapist often only asks questions so that you find the solution yourself through the act of talking. This is why I highly recommend starting a similar video practice: It forces you to verbalize thoughts, which is a massive stress relief. The camera acts as a non-judgmental listener. The public act of uploading (even if just one person watches) becomes your accountability buddy. Start simple: just press record and talk. This practice is extremely helpful for getting thoughts out of your brain and finding the clarity you need. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 - Intro: Mental health and my motorcycle 0:23 - The setting: Running the bike in the garage (excuse the noise!) 1:38 - We don't take care of mental health proactively 2:03 - The analogy: Mental health should be like a dental check-up 3:01 - The importance of talking about your problems 3:29 - The difference between thinking and verbalizing problems 4:22 - Why talking to a camera vs. a friend helps (avoiding judgment) 4:49 - How talking helps you find the solution yourself 5:59 - Recommendation: Start your own video journal 6:36 - Addressing the difficulty of finding friends to talk to 7:07 - Getting thoughts out of your brain as a stress relief 8:08 - How good therapy works (asking questions, you talking) 8:35 - The camera as your accountability tool 8:55 - Outro ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
