I've played all the way to the final chapter, The Black Omen, but I've hit a major roadblock (0:50): I am severely under-leveled. As a filthy casual, story-driven gamer, I skipped most of the side quests, and now my characters are only around level 40, while a walkthrough shows characters at 999 HP (1:34)! Why I'm Forcing Myself to Grind: The Ending Plus (2:39): Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest games ever, and I desperately want to unlock the "Ending Plus" feature, which allows you to replay the whole game with your current character levels and equipment—a feature that was revolutionary for a game from the 90s! Side Quest Annoyance (4:21): My preference is always for on-rails, story-driven games like The Last of Us or Uncharted because my busy schedule (4:54) makes it hard to remember where I left off in massive open-world games like The Witcher 3 (5:32). Being forced to complete side quests to level up is annoying, but necessary to beat those final bosses! I still firmly believe this game belongs in my all-time top five (6:23).
