After a few days of shoveling snow and grinding on main channel projects, I finally have time to talk about the new tech that’s been occupying my "spare" time: the Meta Quest 3S. Specifically, I’m looking at this from a fitness perspective. As someone who does Muay Thai and boxing, I’ve been a long-time user of the original Quest for workouts, and the jump to the 3S (paired with the BoboVR head strap) is a total game changer for clarity and comfort. In this vlog, I share my first impressions of Thrill of the Fight 2 and why I prefer boxing in mixed reality. We also get real about a major hurdle for many VR users: motion sickness. I discuss why certain games make my brain melt while others work perfectly, and the "tricks" I've tried to overcome it. Even if you aren't a "gamer," I truly believe VR has massive potential for mental health by making movement feel like play rather than a chore. If you’ve ever signed up for a gym in January only to stop going by February, this might be the alternative you need. It’s an investment, but if it helps you build a consistent habit and elevates your heart rate, it’s worth every cent. Are you using VR for fitness, or does the motion sickness keep you away? Let’s discuss in the comments! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Where I've been (Snow & Projects) 01:03 - Meta Quest 3S & BoboVR Setup 01:34 - Boxing & Thrill of the Fight 2 03:43 - VR Fitness for Martial Artists 05:25 - Dealing with Motion Sickness 07:44 - Building Habits & Mental Health 08:10 - VR vs. Gym Membership Cost 09:12 - Outro & Subscribe ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
