Today, we are taking this tiny powerhouse to the streets to see how it handles a "worst-case scenario" for audio: heavy wind and traffic noise. I’m recording exclusively with the internal microphones to see if this camera can truly be a standalone vlogging tool without the need for external mic attachments. We’re also testing out an ND16 filter to see how it handles the daylight while maintaining that cinematic motion. One of the biggest wins so far is the "stealth factor." Vlogging in public, especially when speaking English in Germany, can make you feel very self-conscious. Because the DJI Nano is so small, I’ve found a hack: holding it exactly like a smartphone. Passersby assume I’m just on a video call, which completely removes the "vlogging stage fright" and allows for much more authentic, candid storytelling. Technically, we’re looking at the 10-bit D-Log image quality. While it features a smaller sensor than the DJI Pocket 3 and carries that signature "action camera sharpness," the color science is still top-tier. I did run into a minor display timeout warning, likely an overheating prevention measure, which is something to keep an eye on for longer sessions. At the end of the day, if the gear helps you document the story without friction, it’s a win.
