Contact me via email ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I spend a lot of time watching commentary channels (like MKBHD, Linus, or German hosts) and, unfortunately, channels that look at the more questionable spaces of YouTube. It truly baffles me that creators who specialize in disrespectful content, harassment, dangerous pranks (like the syringe example), or even scams achieve massive numbers—views, subscribers, and, critically, money. This isn't just about controversial content; it's about people who are outright nuisances and seemingly terrible individuals. Creators like Logan Paul back in the day, or those who travel to non-confrontational cultures (especially in Asia) simply to be disrespectful, or the ones running fake raffles and crypto pump-and-dump schemes. I try to understand the psychology of attention (bad news sells), but I cannot grasp why viewers not only watch these people but subscribe and validate them, driving them to "up the ante" with even more outrageous behavior. Why do genuine, high-quality creators get lost in the noise while the "terrible people" thrive? This video is a stream of thought on the paradoxical success of nuisance creators, and I'd love to know who the most mind-blowing, crazy-stupid creator is that you've ever seen gain a massive following. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 - Intro: Watching questionable YouTube spaces 0:33 - The confusion: Questionable channels work extremely well 1:16 - Example of highly questionable pranks (The syringe prank) 2:57 - The rise of real-life streamers and harassment 3:32 - The paradox: Earning money for being a nuisance 4:01 - The personal issue: Pranks on someone else's back 4:27 - Disrespectful creators traveling to Asia 5:33 - Relief that some countries are taking legal action 6:04 - The central question: Why do good creators get lost in the noise? 7:19 - Examples: Bomb pranks and harassing fast-food workers 7:49 - The role of commentary creators (Policing the space) 8:18 - I understand why people watch, but why do they subscribe? 9:14 - The validation loop: Outrageousness leads to validation 9:42 - Example: Fouseytube (The validation of a large following) 10:11 - The danger of pump-and-dump schemes and scamming 11:13 - German creator example: Detained in Dubai after fake raffles 12:12 - Why the supporters and subscribers are baffling 12:58 - Question for the comments: Who is the craziest creator you've seen? 13:53 - Outro ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
