After scoring this unit for a bargain, I wanted to see how it performs when mounted in the standard lavalier position: right on the chest. While yesterday was about the initial unboxing and first impressions, today we take the setup into a supermarket to test how it handles ambient noise and movement while paired with the DJI Nano. The main highlight of this microphone is the form factor. When compared to the DJI Mic 2, the Mic Mini is nearly half the size. While the Mic 2 is a powerhouse with features like 32-bit float and incredible internal recording, its footprint is much larger. For creators who want to vlog inconspicuously in sensitive areas like airports or stores, the Mic Mini's tiny profile makes it much easier to stay under the radar and reduce the "self-conscious" feeling of filming in public. I’m still evaluating the final sound quality myself, so I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Does the chest-mount position provide the clarity needed for a daily vlog?
