Contact me via email ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I finally finished the entire run of Falling Skies, and while I still believe it’s worth watching in 2026, I have some serious rants to get off my chest. In my previous video, I was incredibly excited about the first three seasons—the world-building, the resistance led by Tom Mason, and the Volm alliance were peak sci-fi. However, as I moved into the Espheni Ghetto of Season 4 and the Final Stand of Season 5, the quality of the screenwriting took a noticeable dive. In this video, I break down my biggest "gears-grinding" moments, specifically focusing on the complete lack of military logic. From actors holding AK-47s at "ghetto angles" while shooting from the hip to the absolutely baffling tactical decisions in close-quarters tunnels, I question if there was ever a military advisor on set. We also dive into the shift toward "magical" elements in Season 4 that felt out of place for a science fiction series, and the frustratingly "black and white" character dynamics between Tom Mason and Pope. Despite the sloppy writing and the rushed feel of the final episodes (which may have been a result of industry writer strikes at the time), I still think the journey of the Second Mass is worth your time if you lower your expectations for the finale. I’ve included a full breakdown of each season’s "headline" to help you navigate the plot. If you’ve seen the show, please tell me I’m not the only one bothered by the reloading scenes! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Falling Skies: Final Verdict 02:15 - Summarizing All 5 Seasons 04:30 - Rant: Terrible Gun Handling 07:03 - The "Stealth" Tunnel Disaster 09:57 - Incompetent Alien Prison Guards 12:15 - Tom Mason's "Free Pass" Problem 13:44 - When Sci-Fi Becomes Magic 15:39 - Why the Quality Dropped Off 18:02 - Should You Watch Season 5? 19:00 - Outro & Recommendations ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
