I also share a frustrating story about a "toxic" office encounter involving a dog, some cinnamon rolls, and a very careless owner. Why do some people treat their dogs like background characters in their lives instead of the family members they are? Being a dog owner is a massive responsibility that requires financial, emotional, and time capacity. If you aren't willing to protect your dog from pain or ensure they aren't trapped in an office for 8 hours without a break, you need to rethink why you have a pet.
