With several people in our gym preparing for upcoming fights, our coach put us through a "fighter conditioning" circuit that included lizard crawls, frog jumps, and explosive jumping—all with almost zero rest. Today, my legs are feeling the effects, and my fitness devices—including the Amazfit Helio ring, Ultrahuman Air, and Samsung Smartwatch—all confirm that my body is officially exhausted. However, even though today technically should be a rest day, I still made sure to do 10 minutes of jump rope. In this video, I explain my philosophy of "Identity over Efficiency." I don’t aim to be the most "buff" guy or the best fighter in the room; I aim to be the person who works out. Just like brushing your teeth, a habit shouldn't be optional based on how you feel. By lowering the barrier of entry—even if it's just five pushups or a few minutes of cardio—you make the habit second nature. This principle applies to everything in life, whether you are trying to build a fitness routine or learn to save money. If you make the goal too big, you'll find excuses to quit. But if you make it effortless, you eliminate the friction. I’m sharing how I use these small daily wins to maintain my mental and physical health, even when my analytics tell me to stay in bed. What is one small habit you’re trying to make second nature?
