This week’s vlog is basically a little mix of cozy comfort + creator brain. I start with a productive morning and my current winter obsession: hojicha. My brother brought back this hojicha powder from Japan and it’s genuinely so good—rich, nutty, and a little sweeter in a warm, comforting way. I also show you how I make my hojicha latte (because the ratio matters if you don’t want a watery, sad drink), and I share this individually wrapped Japanese cracker situation that is just… made to perfection. Then I jump into a YouTube Q&A and the lessons I’m bringing from 2025 into 2026—specifically for vlogging. I talk through what I edit on now (DaVinci Resolve only), what I film on (Sony A7C), how I deal with overheating, why I don’t use LUTs, my thumbnail font, and where I get my music. After that, I share the mindset shifts that help me make better vlogs: look around your space for inspiration, play with sequencing, ask “what’s in it for the viewer,” shoot more B-roll, and let yourself experiment so you actually figure out what you enjoy.
