About This Video

I spent 24 hours only eating at viral Seoul bakeries in the Anguk area—aka one of my favorite, cutest neighborhoods for a cozy cafe day. The plan was to hit Artist Bakery for their famous salt bread, but the queue was actually insane (like 100+ people ahead) and Korea does that app sign-up system, so I ended up missing my slot. Instead, I walked around, did a little sightseeing, and kept it moving to other popular spots. I tried Onion Bakery (gorgeous courtyard, seriously the vibes are unreal), but I’m not gonna lie… nothing looked amazing to me and it felt a bit like a buffet/company event situation. I still tested a sweet potato/cheese-cracker situation and rated it an 8/10 because it was super creative and the cheese frosting was crazy good—just way too much sponge and crunch for my taste. Then I went to a stunning cafe known for “artwork” cakes, but because I hate whipped cream (and they weren’t cheap), I chose handmade cookies instead—and they absolutely saved the day. The black sesame and matcha ones were so flavorful and moist from that syrup/honey vibe. I also tried Korean salt bread, and I know it’s iconic, but the liquid-butter moment was not for me—3/10. Overall: viral doesn’t always mean “my fave,” but I loved testing, rating, and keeping my wellness-girl balance while traveling.
