In this video, I unbox and test the NITECORE NU43 headlamp that’s marketed as the world’s lightest rechargeable headlamp. I bought it for a simple reason: when I’m dealing with dark spots in the house, working in a dark room, or even checking something under the car, I don’t want to hold my phone or a flashlight. With a headlamp, the light is always where I’m looking, so my hands are free and the job is easier. I show you the headband design, the silicone/rubber grip that helps it stay in place, and the adjustable angle so you can point the beam exactly where you need it. Then I walk through the buttons and modes—different brightness levels, a red light mode (including blinking), and the battery indicator (double-press to check). I also point out the IP68 weatherproof rating and the USB-C charging port with a cover to help seal it. Finally, I do a quick “zero dark 30” brightness demo so you can see how it performs in a dark room and why it’s bright enough for real DIY work.
