Yo what up guys—today I’m showing you something a lot of people don’t realize: your Osmo Pocket 3 can work as a webcam, and it’s way better than a standard webcam you buy out there… even better than your laptop webcam. I’m not saying go buy an Osmo Pocket 3 just to use it as a webcam. But if you already have one, you might as well try it because it’s very cool and the setup is super simple. In the video, I literally just plug it in, turn it on, and it prompts me to use it as a webcam—then I test it in a real scenario using Google Meet. The big win here is you’re not stuck with a fixed webcam angle. I can use the joystick to re-angle the gimbal and frame myself or whatever I’m showing, and I can even zoom in—stuff you don’t get on a normal webcam. I also show how you can flip the screen and it flips on your stream/meeting like you’re on a phone (with a little delay), then switch back to landscape. If you want a clean, high-quality webcam look with more control, this is a solid upgrade using gear you already own.
