About This Video

yo what up guys— in this video I tested the RUIPRO 8K detachable pure fiber HDMI 2.1 cable that’s rated up to 100 meters. I unboxed everything first: the fiber cable itself, the pair of metal adapters (one marked Source and one Display), plus the USB to micro-USB cables that can be used for power. I also showed how the ends are sealed to keep dirt out, and how easy it is to remove the caps, plug the fiber into the adapters, and lock everything in place. For the real-world test, I used it in a big gymnasium setup (around 3,000 people capacity) where we run video from a PC to a 4K LED wall controller. Before this, we were using an HDMI-over-ethernet extender that was limited to 1080p and we were dealing with audio/video sync delay—plus we couldn’t maximize the LED wall quality. With the RUIPRO fiber run (laid on the floor for testing, but meant to go up the ceiling and forward), the Windows 11 extended desktop showed up crisp on the LED wall, and the big difference I noticed right away was the color and overall clarity—way more “alive” compared to our older 1080p setup. Video playback was smooth, and for my use case this cable looks like a solid solution for long-distance 4K runs.
