If you enjoy whisky—or you’re curious but not sure where to start—I lay out how I approach it: honest reviews across styles from all over the world, side-by-side comparisons, blind tastings, and educational deep dives into regions, history, and why whisky tastes the way it does. You’ll also see the occasional distillery tour and longer conversations. More importantly, I’m clear on the point: this channel isn’t about status, hype bottles, or telling you what you should like. It’s about helping you understand whisky well enough to enjoy it on your own terms—without intimidation. My own journey started behind the bar, then really took shape through tastings, whisky clubs, and over a decade with the Queensland Malt Whisky Society, where I’ve spent years recording notes, leading discussions, and hosting tastings. Looking ahead, I’m committing to weekly videos every Sunday, with a bigger focus on education, comparisons, more blind tastings, and viewer-driven content—plus livestreams and chats about whisky culture. I also share that I’m taking the first real step toward my long-term goal: laying down casks via contract distilling, aiming for future independent bottlings when they’re good and ready.
