About This Video

After a properly disruptive summer (Gen Con, bank holidays, and Ross off at Nova doing his own little busman’s holiday), Geoff and I finally sit back down for a catch-up. This one’s a hobby talk episode: what Games Workshop have been up to over summer, what’s landed well, and what’s left me absolutely flabbergasted. I’m still impressed by what they’re doing on the Age of Sigmar side — the Stormcast and Skaven stuff is genuinely incredible — but I’m also being honest about the fact I’m not buying into AoS because I’ve got no more brain-space for more rules. On the 40K side, we get into the big talking point: the new Inquisitor Coteaz model. I don’t mind a new style choice in theory, but this one feels like it’s lost the character and gothic flavour of the original, and I’m more annoyed that it feels like it got signed off without that extra pass of “needs more this, needs more that.” From there we roll into the Blood Angels releases — the whole “Ultramarines but red” vibe, the missing flair, the wing situation, and yes… the internet losing its mind about nipples on armour. We also chat about the wider pattern: missing kits (where are the Assault Terminators?), range gaps like a Captain on a bike, and why it sometimes feels like 40K is getting the “just enough” treatment. The bright spot for me is Kill Team — the new set looks fantastic, the scenery looks brilliant, and it’s the release that’s got me most excited right now.
