This week’s podcast episode is a proper “paint-along chat” — the kind you stick on while you’ve got two miles left on the treadmill or you’ve got the phone wedged between the car seat and the handbrake. I run through what’s on my radar right now: Emperor’s Children finally landing, and what that might mean for a bit of a Chaos release rush. As a Chaos player, I’m excited… but I’m also already pre-annoyed on behalf of Death Guard if they get yet another “token character” and that’s your lot. I’d love to be wrong, but we’ve seen that pattern before. We also get into Adepticon predictions (Kill Team is the thing I’m most interested in), plus a quick hobby retail ramble — because yes, I’ve literally seen boxes like Brutal and Cunning and even Hive Storm “in the wild” around Nottingham. Then we hit the £47.50 talking point: the Hell’s Last Black Library minis. They look gorgeous, but for that money I’d want more distinct rules and a bit more going on than “everyone shares the same stats with slightly different weapons.” And yes — we touch the Tom Cruise Warhammer show rumour, and we round out with bad painting habits and the current mild waves around the GW creator program and paints. It’s a mixed bag episode: news, opinions, and a bit of a moan — which is basically the brand.
