This one’s a proper Painting Phase After Dark episode on XV88 FM, where I’m doing my best late-night DJ voice (and threatening to turn the whole channel into Painting Phase ASMR). We catch up after Adepticon, chat about meeting hobbyists in person, and then immediately derail into the most important topic of the week: ridiculous 3D printed “laser rifles” from Tame Grips that are absolutely evocative of something I can’t quite say out loud. I even managed to get one all the way to America and back… only to break it 30 seconds from the studio. Classic. Then we get into the main event: the new Space Wolves reveals, and yeah—these releases are insane. I’m talking Logan Grimnar, “Nigel Stormcaller” (don’t @ me), and those Terminators that are Space Wolves to the absolute max. I love how much character is baked into the sculpts, and I’m genuinely buzzing to paint them. We also chew over rumors (Space Wolf Scouts in Kill Team?), what might get Legends’d (that Space Wolves flyer), and I have my usual rant brewing in the background: where are the Assault Terminators, and are we really waiting until 11th?
