In this Plan With Me, I’m setting up my Mini Happy Planner (my work planner) for August 9–15, 2021. I decided to pull out one of the Disney Princess sticker books—even though princesses aren’t really my thing—because I’m trying to actually use the stickers I own. I keep it pretty quick and easy this week, layering a few decorative pieces, adding a larger quote (“Never be afraid to chase your dreams”), and sprinkling in little accents like birds, flowers, and a crown to make the spread feel finished without going overboard. Functionally, I add what I need for my work week: a standing Tuesday meeting, a payday marker for Friday (and yes, it’s Friday the 13th), and a simple notes area. I also talk through some real-life planner frustrations, like discovering the punch holes going right through certain box stickers (and even noticing the page orientation issue in the book). The big takeaway is that “simple and easy” is still a win—especially after a rough week—and my work planner only gets used as much as I actually need it.
