In this Plan With Me, I’m setting up my Mini Happy Planner for the week of August 23rd through the 29th, and I’m using the Happy Planner Minimalist sticker book. I’ll be honest—I haven’t used a sticker book in a while, and as I’m flipping through, I’m trying to figure out what colors I want to lean into (greens and blues are usually a yes… lilac is probably my least favorite). I start building my spread the way I normally do—layering boxes and quotes—then I add in the functional stuff I actually need for the week, like a meeting on Tuesday and payday on Friday. The big takeaway from this one is that minimalist can feel a little “bare” if you’re used to decorative planning, and I totally hit that point in the middle of the spread. I try grid washi (and struggle with getting it to look “so freaking pretty” the way other people do), and I also run into my usual issue with writing directly on Happy Planner stickers—my pen bleeds and it makes my lettering look rough. What saved this spread for me was adding florals from another sticker book I had nearby—just a few small pieces made everything feel more complete, and by the end I absolutely loved it.
