In this Plan With Me, I’m setting up the September 2021 monthly spread in my Bando planner—my super cute “lettering practice” planner that I’ve been using for a Word of the Day setup. It’s honestly been the perfect way to build vocabulary while also giving me a reason to practice lettering every single day. I keep this monthly pretty simple and not super sticker-heavy, because I don’t want the planner to get crazy thick. For this spread, I pull stickers from The Happy Planner Homebody sticker book and use florals to cover the extra date areas Bando includes from the previous and upcoming months. I add a few quotes (the ones that feel good and actually make sense to me), and I talk a bit about why I skip certain phrases that feel like toxic positivity. I also share my honest thoughts on the Bando planner: the artwork is freakin’ adorable and I love that they credit the artists, but the O-binding isn’t my favorite for everyday planning—so repurposing it for lettering has been a win.
