In this Plan With Me, I’m setting up my August 2021 monthly spread in my personal rings (Moterm Litchi Gray with Sew Much Crafting inserts)… and y’all, I realized I totally forgot to buy my August kit. I was super disappointed because I really love using kits in my monthly, but instead of scrapping the whole thing, I just decided to wing it and keep it very basic and functional. Since not having a kit threw me off, I pulled a few things that still make a spread feel “done” for me: a little Coffee Monsterz Co washi at the top, some cute quotes (Moore Avenue + a Spider Gum Stationery “busy-ish”), and then I went straight into the important stuff—bills, birthdays, meetings, and paydays. I used Piper Paper Co icons (credit cards, money, and even a book icon as a planner icon), Mandy Lynn Plans clear bill due stickers, and Amber’s Sticker Shop birthday cakes. The biggest takeaway is that a minimal monthly can still turn out really well if you focus on your real life first, then add just a few details to make it cute.
